Jack Parker to Receive the Order of the Palmetto
John C. “Jack” Parker to receive the Order of the Palmetto
Next Saturday, June 21st at 10:00 AM, my friend, John C. Parker, better known as Jack Parker, will receive the highest award that the State of South Carolina can bestow on one of its citizens, the Order of the Palmetto. Jack is a historian/author whose book, Parker’s Guide to the Revolutionary War in South Carolina, is the gold standard for those who study the war in this state. He has documented what amounts to every single incident in the state during our revolution against Great Britain. I say it amounts to, since Jack’s book is in its fifth printing, as he discovers additional small events that reflect South Carolina’s role in the fight for America’s freedom.

The award will be presented to Jack at the Patrick Recreational Building, 119 South Main Street, Patrick. The Recreational Building is behind the Patrick Rescue Squad Building on U.S. Route 1.
Many distinguished guests, including our state senator and representative, are planning on attending. To ensure that there will be adequate resources for the presentation, please RSVP to the Patrick Townhall at 843-498-6994 on Tuesday or Wednesday between 8 AM and 5 PM.
Let’s see if we can get a huge and enthusiastic crowd out to show Jack how much he means to Patrick and Chesterfield County.

Your Morning Cup of Ramirez
I like Michael Ramirez and believe he will be proven wrong regarding tariffs and other Trump policies. Still, I am going to let him have his say here.
