There has been much discussion on the issue of tariffs during this presidential election cycle.  President Trump has been pushing for the imposition of tariffs on imports from both Asia and Europe.  He mentioned one example of not seeing an American car when he visited Germany during his first term.

One of the terms you might hear when people speak negatively about tariffs is “Free Trade.”  This is simply the idea that countries would trade without tariffs or import taxes.  Well, that is the most significant piece of crap in the world.  Every country imposes taxes and tariffs on everything we sell to them.  Here is a little article that shows how these taxes work on importing cars from Europe to America and the reverse.  It is anything but fair and has been going on for decades.
