The solar industry has always touted the safe way its products generate electricity. This brings up a question, though: Is it really that safe?
In previous articles, I have spelled out how solar arrays can harm people in numerous ways, but I had never considered another factor: the actual manufacturing and maintenance of these panels. While doing some research for other articles, I came across this little tidbit. It seems that these panels are anything but safe. In fact, a study of the industry found that 72% of inspections revealed safety and reliability problems requiring immediate repair. Don’t believe me, click the picture and read about it.
