Technical College or Driving School?

Years ago, when smoking was still an activity that would not result in your arrest, matchbooks were always in demand.  The companies learned they could sell advertising on them.  You could find schools that would offer to make you the best salesperson in the country, become a shoemaker, or even learn to drive a truck.  None of these skills would be considered of a technical nature, but through the Acme Agency and others, your search for wealth would be guaranteed, or at least implied.

Learning to drive a truck is a noble goal, but is it a ” Technical ” skill?  I do not believe so.  However, it seems that NETC, rather than concentrating its efforts on developing the state’s most robust technical skill development programs, now believes it should be a driving school.

This is another example of how NETC fails to develop the skilled workforce Chesterfield County needs to enhance its citizens’ quality of life.  Programs like this are another example of why the leadership of NETC needs to be replaced.
