In Haiti, the practice of Voodoo is widespread. One of the traditions is the sacrifice of animals. As part of this sacrifice, the believer will consume the animal that has been killed. NO particular animal is called for to be killed, but rather, a wide range of them may be offered in the sacrifice. With all of this said, it is not far-fetched to believe pets in the Springfield, Ohio, area are not being used to satisfy the offering of sacrifice in worshiping Voodoo.
