You may ask why we formed the Independent Conservative Republican Party of Chesterfield County, South Carolina. The answer is simple: so we don’t have to bow to the whims of a person like Drew McKissick.
The United States allows people to run for a congressional seat even though they might not live in the district. The only requirement at the national level is that the person be a resident of the state. But that is not good enough for King Drew McKissick, the current South Carolina Republican Party Commissar, oh sorry, I mean Chairman. He has decided, using a “state party rule,” that he does not want a person who challenged him for the party’s chairmanship an opportunity to run under the Republican banner.
This is the type of crap that once again proves that the South Carolina Republican Party is not interested in electing conservative Republicans to be our representatives. They are only interested in preserving their little power bases and enormous salaries.
