Robert Monnie brought the following to my attention. It seems that the State Ethics Commission is paying another visit to McBee. The circus ringmaster, Glenn Odem, has his clowns jumping through hoops to get Alligator Rural Water and Sewer contracts in the town. Here is what Robert wrote to me.
State Ethics Commission Issues McBee Finding
Last week, the state ethics commission met with the McBee town administration regarding the letter sent to the commission by a concerned town resident. The commission’s finding emphasized that Mayor Glenn Odom and council member Robbie Liles were not allowed to have anything to do with water issues, including closed sessions and votes. Odom is listed as a consultant on the Alligator website.
Furthermore, the commission ruled that council members Charlie Sutton and Margie Hammond could have any and all information, including financial records and CCTV footage.
Former Mayor John Campolong desires that numerous town residents attend a special meeting on Oct 3, as Sutton may be seeking to head the water issues but not Lyles nor Hammond.
I, for one, can’t wait to see where this is going!
