If you tune into the Demorat Convention this week, you are watching a political process that is the beginning of a style reminiscent of the method used in the Soviet Union, but with one change. Instead of having a candidate nominated by a primary, the Soviet Union used a process of petition to place a person on the ballot.
Of course, the Demorats have streamlined this process even more; they get a bunch of demorat politicians to nominate the candidate directly. You have to give them credit; why not cut out the voters, who are nothing but a barrier to these communists, oh excuse me, demorats, from getting their way?
